There will be a moment in your life where things seem to be difficult and the problem or problems you have seem to be larger than life. Some of us might even question why God lets things like these happen to us. At that moment when we feel alone and with no escape of our problems is when we begin to learn just how big and loving Our Lord is. I can’t say it’s easy to see how God’s love is shown through these moments but I can say that when you look back you will see God’s presence where you believed He was far away from you. I have asked myself why we are exposed to situations that seem difficult and never ending. How come when we believe to be the strongest in our faith, situations come up in our lives that make us feel like we’re falling? As we grow up we will begin to experience these tough situations on our own. Things might stop going our way and become difficult. I remember at one point in my life, I looked around and saw many people around me yet still felt alone. I didn’t understand what was going on and how I could feel better. I listened to older sisters and brothers speaking about their own lives and how speaking constantly to Jesus Christ and reading His word helped them through tough times. I one day told myself, “Alright, let’s give it a try.” I opened my heart and spoke to our Lord openly about what I felt. Many nights I did this and one day I went to my computer and hoped to see something that spoke to me, and I did. I opened the internet and went to a site that uploads daily Bible verses and saw one that shook me. It is found in 2 Kings 20:5 and part of it says “I have heard your prayer and seen your tears; I will heal you.” This is exactly what I needed to hear and I knew that this was no coincidence; it was our Lord speaking to me. After seeing this verse I learned something new about my faith and who I was believe in. I learned that what we go through is sometimes difficult but that’s when we need to have faith and rely solely on our Lord. How are we supposed to grow in faith if we never have to depend solely on Him? “You will never know Christ is all you need until, Christ is all you got!” No matter what you go through remember that Jesus Christ is there for you. His word says even if our mother or father were to leave us the Lord will take us in and care for us (Psalm 27:10). He is here and ready to listen even when you think he’s not. Our Lord will never turn his back on you, He’s always ready to help you up but He wants you to believe in Him, Have faith that He has the power and the love towards us to help us through anything. He might be quiet but don’t doubt that He is there. When we are going through a test “the teacher is always silent.” He is there, speak to Him, believe in Him, have patience and you will see His power.
